Can a domestic violence order impact your employment?

What are the consequences for breaching a domestic violence order?
There are very serious consequences including sentences of imprisonment. The maximum penalty for a first offence is a fine of up to $6000 or a sentence of up to 2 years imprisonment. What is a Police Protection Notice?
This notice is issued by a police officer without the need for a court order. It is very serious and generally requires that you must be of good behaviour towards the aggrieved and/or named persons on the order. It often will also include that you must not contact the aggrieved or enter/approach within a certain distances of where they are.
